GOING, GOING GONE

In the photo series "Going, Going, Gone" I sought to place myself within the historical context of gay male photography, and trade.   Ultimately asking the question, "Can a trans-masculine body - a male body sans penis - hold a homo-erotic gaze"?  If so, where is maleness located and what is the basis of attraction/revulsion?  Additionally, the work explores the viewers’ experience of a sexualized trans-masculine body, something we rarely see.
